30.08.03 – Sketchbook:
Moth Short Film Title Sequence

Vision & Motion has been working with Amulet Films on the title sequence for ‘Moth’, a short film about a boy’s fascination with moths. The titles follow the theme of extreme macro close-ups of light bulb filaments combined with typography that ‘buzzes’ and burns out with the underlying film.

The bulb footage was shot in a studio on 35mm, with the typographic elements added in After Effects. The sequence (currently in an offline state) will be scanned hi-res in September, re-composited at high resolution and output back to film for final neg assembly.
