Inferno was a two-hour weekly ice hockey series broadcast across NTL’s
cable network. Joe Sharpe produced and directed the show from rinkside
via talkback using an 8 camera set-up and a crew of 16.
Raw, dynamic visuals and music were developed to reflect the passion and
excitement of the game. Players skated in and out of a theatre spotlight
in a blacked out rink, creating bursts of colour on black to contrast the
stark white of the ice during gameplay. Footage was used across titles,
ad bumpers and transition vignettes.
